The Northeastern Federation of Stamp Clubs hosted their APS WSP qualifying Philatelic Show 2022 at the Boxboro Regency Hotel and Conference Center in Boxborough, MA. Quite a few of our members exhibited and were in attendance with some of the highest awards being received by our very studious members.
Member Philatelic Exhibits

Vern R. Morris Jr., MD was awarded a Grand, Multi-Frame Large Gold and the United States Stamp Society Statue of Freedom Award for his exhibit, Evolution and Impact of Blood’s local post, 1842 to 1862.
The Multi-Frame Reserve Grand and Large Gold was received by Murray A. Abramson for his Geographic Expansion of U.S. Airmail to Foreign Destinations (1922-1941) exhibit. This exhibit also received a MAPS “William Turner Memorial Award” and an APS Research Medal.
Yamil H. Kouri, Jr. brought home Single Frame Grand and Large Gold awards for his exhibit, The 1855 Y ¼ Surcharged Stamps of Cuba.
For his ADELICA COLOMBIA’S FIRST OFFICIAL AIR MAIL STAMPS exhibit, Alfredo Frohlich was awarded a Multi-Frame Large Gold and also the American Philatelic Congress Award (Excellence in Write Up).
Chip Gliedman also received a Multi-Frame Large Gold and an American Association of Philatelic Exhibitors Creativity Award for his My Victoria Imperforate Line Engraved Stamps of G.B. exhibit. His A Postal History Map of The United States of America exhibit was secured a Multi-Frame Gold.
A Multi-Frame Large Vermeil was awarded to Fran Adams for his Atlantic Meeting 1941 exhibit. This exhibit also received the ATA First Award and the AAPE Award of Honor (Gold Pin). In the Single-Frame category, his exhibits, The Oceanographic Institute and Museum of Monaco, The First 50 Years, 1910-1960 and Cancellation Devices of the International Institute of Agriculture, 1906-1946 both won Gold and United Nations Philatelists Inc. Special Convention Awards.
John F. Schorn also received a Multi-Frame Large Vermeil and United Nations Philatelists Inc. Special Convention Award for his exhibit, The 1967 Disarmament Stamps of the United Nations.
Hal Vogel was awarded a Single Frame Large Gold, USPCS Medal and APS Medal of Excellence, Pre-1900 for his 1838-42 Wilkes Antarctic Expedition: Its many (often unfavorable) facets exhibit.
