The Minnesota Stamp Expo occurred during July 15-17, 2022. It was an APS WSP qualifying show. A few of our members were in attendance, bringing home plenty of impressive awards.
Hal Vogel was awarded a Multi-Frame Large Gold for his exhibit, The Post Office That Saved, Served and Almost Scuttled an Antarctic Expedition: A Postal History of the Second Byrd Antarctic Exhibition.
For his exhibit, Lost Almost: The Los Alamos, N.M. Post Office and WWII, Wayne Youngblood received a Multi-Frame Gold and APS Award for Research.
Larry Nix exhibited America’s Membership Libraries 1731-1910 in the Multi-Frame category and was awarded a Gold.
Vernon Morris, Jr., MD was presented with a Single Frame First Place Award, Large Gold and USPCS Medal for his exhibit, World’s Third Entity to Issue Stamps; Philadelphia Local Posts, 1842-1861.
With his exhibit, 2c “Liberty Head” U.S. Revenue Tax Stamp, 1875-1883, John Bowman received a Single Frame Large Gold.
