The Institute for Analytical Philately (IAP) is convening its fifth symposium October 10 and October 17, 2023 via Zoom©.
All speakers will deliver their papers online. There will be time for questions and answers as part of the webinar.
The symposium’s first session will begin at 10AM EDT Tuesday, October 10, 2023. Five speakers will address attendees throughout the day, ending at about 3PM. The second session will start at 10AM a week later, October 17. Five speakers will present papers that day as well.
Most presentations will address aspects of color in philately. Topics will include the use of Raman micro spectrometry, color analyses of various stamps, results from video spectral comparator (VSC) analyses and more. While several presentations are technical in nature, most of them should be understandable for non-scientists.
