Each year, the U. S. Philatelic Classics Society makes several Major Awards for literature (articles, books, other studies) on stamps or postal history, and for service to the Society or to philately in general.

The Society also awards the U.S.P.C.S. Medal at each World Series of Philately (WSP) show, as meaningful recognition for an exhibit of U.S. issues and postal history of the classic period.
